Smart Projector Paint Contrast Installation
You don’t need to get a professional to install our Smart Projector Paint Contrast, as it is easily done by anyone. Follow these few simple steps to make a projector screen yourself.
First thing you should check is that the surfaces to be painted are dry, clean and don’t have any loose materials on them.
Priming the surface is necessary if it is untreated and bare. Make sure to use a water based primer like our Smart White Primer to get the best results. A primer is not required if painting over a previously painted surface.
Prepare the surface, fill any imperfections and sand smooth. Apply the primer (if required), and allow it to dry. Then, apply your first coat of the base coat tin and let it dry for approx. 2-4 hours at 20°. Sand smooth when dry and then add the second coat.
Before applying the top coat, ensure the base coat is smooth and free from surface defects. Apply the first coat with the roller provided, then allow it to dry for approx. 2-4 hours at 20° before applying the second coat. Once the projector wall paint has been applied you must wait 24 hours before using the surface. Our detailed application guide is there to help you apply this grey projector paint.
Please note: Sanding your surface before applying the paint is important as the smoothness of the wall can affect product performance. A great viewing experience can then be guaranteed.

Choose a higher gain value projection surface for brighter rooms with narrow viewing angle – for example conference rooms and classrooms. Avoid the issues of hotspotting and colour shifts by not exceeding a 1.3 gain value.
Choose a lower gain value projection surface to create a home theatre effect in a darkened room. Grey projection surfaces tend to have lower gain values and higher light contrast ratings.
