Our whiteboard wallpapers are designed to be applied to smooth surfaces. They can be applied to curved walls. Ensure all debris and previous wallpapers have been removed. Absorbent surfaces should be treated with a primer before application.

What glue to use for whiteboard wallpaper?

Smart Whiteboard Wallpaper can be applied using a ready mixed heavy duty wallpaper adhesive. Simply apply the adhesive to the wall using a roller.

Smart Wallpaper can be hung horizontally or vertically, depending on your preference. We recommend hanging the writing wallpaper horizontally to minimise seams on writing areas.

How to hide whiteboard wallpaper seams

At the joint, overlap the dry erase vinyl and double cut right through with a sharp blade. This will minimise the appearance of seams on your whiteboard surface.

Is there a way to apply the wallpaper on the top of wooden linoleum?

Yes, usually you can apply one coat of primer to smooth the surface and then hang the wallpaper on top. If the surface is very rough, then we recommend using a filling compound to make it smooth and before applying the wallpaper.

How can I remove air bubbles in the wallpaper?

  • Use a utility knife to slit the bubble keeping slit as small as possible.
  • Push down on the bubble to remove the air from the bubble.
  • With a syringe or glue applicator, squirt glue into the opening.
  • Smooth the deflated bubble with a roller.
  • Wipe off excess adhesive with a damp sponge.

Priming & Sealing

Do I need to prime the surface before applying one of the Smart Whiteboard Wallpapers?

Only absorbent surfaces should be treated with a primer before application. If the surface is uneven you can also apply primer to smooth out the surface.
