FAQ's

Once applied to your wall by roller or spray, Smarter Surfaces Black Projector Screen Paint is ready for use as a projection surface once fully dry this takes 24 hours. Simply set up your projector as needed and aim towards the painted wall. Black Projector Screen Paint can be used with most projectors over 2500 lumens.

They are suitable for use on plaster, wall boards, wood, metal or any smooth surface.
No, a higher gain projector screen doesn't necessarily ensure better image quality. While it may deliver a brighter image from specific angles, it can lead to reduced brightness from other viewpoints. Higher gain screens often feature a narrower viewing angle.
The typical gain for a projector screen is 1.0, which guarantees uniform brightness from all directions and is visible from different angles. However, the ideal gain is influenced by personal preferences and the particular setting. It's also essential to consider your projector's specifications and weigh the advantages and disadvantages of high and low-gain screens to find the most suitable option for your needs.
When aiming to create engaging and immersive visual experiences, blending projections is a widely used method in various settings such as theatres, art exhibits, and large-scale presentations. To achieve a seamless look across projected images, the selection of the projection screen is vital. The Smarter Surfaces black projection screen paint provides an effective solution for blending multiple projections onto one surface. Due to its advanced formulation, our black projector paint is built to enhance the blending process and produce better results.

Successfully blending projections needs accurate colour reproduction, consistent brightness, and superior light diffusion to ensure a smooth transition between the images being projected. Our black projection paint has been developed with all of these factors in mind, enabling you to create a unified and immersive display.

For larger screens, our projection screen paint removes the necessity for bulky and costly physical screens, offering a more adaptable and economical solution for blending projections. You can turn any area into an immersive canvas where various projections blend seamlessly, engaging your audience.

Our complete selection of paints is designed to work with both types of projectors, ensuring peak performance no matter the projection type. When a 3D image is displayed on our paint, it successfully conveys the intended effect, resulting in an immersive viewing experience when used with 3D glasses.
3D projectors project two slightly different images that overlap on the screen. These images go through specialized optical filters, which causes the light to be polarized differently for each projection. Using special 3D glasses, each lens blocks one of the images, allowing your left eye to see one image and your right eye the other. The projection screen used mustn't change the polarity of the light when working with a 3D projector. All of our paint products maintain "polarity preserving" properties, ensuring that the image you see retains the same polarity as intended and preserving the complete 3D effect.
