Better than a projection screen, I have to say i was pleasantly surprised by the result and it definitely looks much sleaker than the fixed screens.

FAQ's

3D projectors operate by displaying two subtly different images that overlap on the screen. The images are subjected to specialised optical filters, resulting in the polarisation of light varying for each projection. When observing the two images using specialised 3D glasses, each lens obstructs one image, allowing the left eye to view one image and the right eye to view the other.

The projection screen employed must not change the polarity of the light while utilising a 3D projector. Each of our paint products is "polarity preserving," ensuring that the displayed image retains the desired polarity, hence maintaining the whole 3D appearance. We offer a 3D specific Silver Screen paint which is worth considering if 3D is the requirement.

Once applied to your wall, our Projector Paints are quickly suitable for use as a projection surface. Set your projector accordingly and direct it towards the painted wall. Projector Screen Paints are compatible with a wide range of projectors, including interactive models. Projector Screen Paint Pro is not suitable for outdoor projections.

Choose Smart Projector Screen Paint Pro for high-performance projection in an office or learning environment which natural light is present

The recommended lighting to use alongside Smart Projector Paint Pro is normal to high ambient light it will of course also work very well in low ambient light.

Gain value refers to a screen's capacity to reflect and enhance the brightness of a projected image. It is a metric that measures the efficiency with which the screen reflects light to the viewer's eyes. The gain value is expressed as the ratio of the screen's reflective power relative to a standard reference surface, a matte white screen with a gain value of 1.0.

It indicates the number of reflective lumens a screen can deliver. A higher gain value signifies that more light is reflected to the viewer, resulting in a brighter image. Conversely, a lower gain value reflects less light, leading to a dimmer image on the screen.

Additionally, gain value affects the screen's viewing angle. Screens with higher gain values tend to have narrower viewing angles, requiring viewers to be positioned more directly in front of the screen to experience optimal brightness. In contrast, screens with lower gain values provide wider viewing angles, enabling viewers to see a consistent and bright image even from off-centre positions.

Choosing the appropriate gain value depends on various factors, including the viewing environment, desired image quality, ambient lighting, screen size, projector brightness, and audience seating arrangement. These considerations ensure the selection of a gain value that boosts the overall viewing experience.

Gain influences the brightness of the projected image and the viewing angle quality. It determines the screen's efficiency in reflecting light, thereby affecting image clarity and the width of optimal viewing angles.

No, a higher gain does not inherently equate to better image quality. While it may enhance image brightness from specific angles, it can simultaneously reduce brightness and clarity from other perspectives. High-gain screens exhibit a narrower viewing angle.

A standard gain of 1.0 is commonly recommended, as it ensures uniform brightness and visibility across multiple angles. However, the ideal gain is dependent upon individual preferences and the specific viewing environment. Evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of high and low-gain screens will assist in selecting the most suitable option.

High-gain screens offer several benefits, including improved image clarity in well-lit environments, enhanced visibility in low-light settings, minimal reflection of ambient light from walls or ceilings, and reduced light interference in settings where fabric screens are resistant to general lighting.

High-gain screens have a restricted viewing angle, requiring viewers to be positioned directly in front of the screen for optimal brightness. Also, their limited viewing angles may not sufficiently accommodate larger audiences and are generally less suitable for outdoor viewing.

Low-gain screens provide a broader viewing angle, making them ideal for larger audiences. They diffuse light evenly across a wider range, ensuring a consistent viewing experience, and effectively reducing projector brightness for indoor environments.

Low-gain screens are less effective in outdoor settings due to their reduced brightness. They may reject a portion of the projector’s light and, in some cases, may not deliver sufficient contrast for clear image viewing.

Blended projections are widely used to create immersive and dynamic visual experiences in settings such as art installations, theatres, and large-scale presentations. Achieving seamless and cohesive projections requires careful consideration of the projection screen. The White Projector Screen Paint Pro offers the best solution for blending multiple projections onto a single surface. Its advanced formulation is made to facilitate the blending process and deliver exceptional results.

The successful blending of projections demands accurate colour accuracy, uniform brightness, and excellent light diffusion to ensure smooth transitions between projected images. The White Projector Paint Pro is designed with these essential factors in mind, enabling users to create cohesive and immersive displays effortlessly.

For large-scale applications, this projection screen paint provides a cost-effective and flexible alternative to bulky and expensive physical screens. It transforms any surface into an immersive canvas, allowing multiple projections to merge seamlessly and captivate audiences with a harmonious display.

Yes, the entire range of White Projector Screen Paints is fully compatible with both 2D and 3D projectors. When used with a 3D projector, the paint ensures seamless performance, delivering an immersive visual experience when paired with 3D glasses.

The Sound Absorption Coefficient (SAC) quantifies the extent to which a material absorbs sound energy when sound waves traverse it. Our study involves measuring the SAC for a 12mm gypsum board, a prevalent construction material.

It can fluctuate with the frequency of the sound waves traversing the material. Various sound wave frequencies possess distinct wavelengths, which can engage with materials in diverse manners. Consequently, the SAC values shown represent a spectrum of values, as the SAC will fluctuate based on the frequency of the absorbed sound waves. Our testing yielded the following results:

Unpainted Board α = 0.04-0.07
Painted Board α = 0.04-0.07

The values specified pertain to an unpainted 12mm gypsum board and a painted 12mm gypsum board. The α values of 0.04-0.07 for both the untreated and painted boards signify the range of SAC values for these materials. When sound waves traverse a 12mm gypsum board, a portion of the sound energy is absorbed by the material, with the absorption coefficient ranging from 0.04 to 0.07, contingent upon the frequency of the sound waves. Nonetheless, it also signifies that all of our paints are acoustically transparent, as there is no variation between the basic board and the painted version.

Smart White Projector Screen Paint Pro Installation

The White Projector Screen Paint Pro is an effective choice that is suitable for a variety of surfaces, such as plaster, metal, wallboards, wood, concrete, and composites. However, it is limited to interior use.

Ensure that the surface is clean, dry, and free of debris before applying the projector paint. Measure the area you intend to paint and use masking tape to mark it. The paint can cover a maximum area of 279 cm x 157 cm.

Start by applying two coats of the White Primer that is included in your kit. Sand the surface gently before applying each coat of primer. Before proceeding, ensure that the surface is smooth and allow the primer to dry completely, which typically takes approximately 2-4 hours at 20° Celsius.

For optimal outcomes, ensure that the projector paint is thoroughly mixed before use. Apply the paint using a mohair or lint-free short pile roller sleeve. Apply two coatings, allowing the first coat to dry before continuing with the second, which also requires approximately 2-4 hours at 20° Celsius.
