FAQ's
• Higher gain (above 1.0) = Amplifies brightness but narrows the viewing angle. • Lower gain (below 1.0) = Offers a wider viewing angle but reflects less light, making the image dimmer.
So choosing the right gain ideally depends on the lighting of your room, seating arrangement, and the type of content you’ll be projecting.
• Brightness : A higher gain screen enhances image brightness, especially in well-lit spaces. • Viewing angles : Low gain screens provide a wider angle, while high gain screens focus brightness in a specific direction. • Image clarity : The right gain ensures balanced contrast and colour accuracy for an optimal viewing experience.
• Narrower viewing angles : If you're not sitting directly in front, so then the image may appear dim. • Hot-spotting risk : Bright patches can form in the centre, thus creating an uneven illumination. Also, it is important to mention that for home theatres or rooms with controlled lighting, a balanced gain (around 1.0) is often the best choice.
• Standard gain (1.0) – Works well for most environments, thus offering balanced brightness and wide viewing angles. • Higher gain (>1.0) – Best for bright rooms, but make sure that viewers are seated centrally to avoid dimming at the edges. • Lower gain (<1.0) – Perfect for dark rooms or large audiences, thus offering a wider, more uniform viewing experience. So make sure to take into consideration factors like projector brightness, ambient light, and the number of viewers when choosing your gain.
• Brighter image – Excellent for rooms with high ambient light or for business presentations. • Reduced reflections – Less light spill from surrounding walls and ceilings, therefore providing a more focused image. • Better contrast in dark rooms – High gain can make dark scenes stand out more in low-light settings.
• Reduced viewing angles – Viewers sitting off-center will see a dimmer image. • Seating arrangement is the key – For optimal brightness, viewers are required to sit directly in front of the screen. • Not ideal for large groups – With a narrower viewing angle, it’s not perfect for larger audiences. • Not suited for outdoor use – The increased brightness doesn’t compensate for the uncontrolled light levels outside.
• Wider viewing angles – Perfect for larger audiences or spaces with varied seating. • Uniform brightness – Light is diffused more evenly across the screen, thus ensuring a consistent experience from different angles. • Great for dark rooms – Ideal for home theatres or controlled lighting environments where the brightness needs to be diffused evenly.
• Dimmer image – In bright rooms, the image may lack the required brightness to stand out. • Less contrast – Lower gain can make fine details harder to distinguish, especially in darker scenes. • Not ideal for outdoor use – Reduced brightness makes low gain screens unsuitable for outdoor projections.

However, for everyday upkeep, we recommend that you simply wipe it with a dry microfibre cloth. Also, occasionally you may use a whiteboard cleaner to remove any invisible residue that could make erasing more difficult over time.
However, if you accidentally use a permanent marker then don't worry, but just grab a permanent marker remover and it’ll wipe away the ink effortlessly.
