Step 1 - Surface Prep
Measure the area and fill any holes. Sand the surface smooth.
Step 2 - Apply Magnetic Paint
Apply 3 coats of Magnetic Paint (2 hours drying time per coat). Add more coats for increased magnetism.
Step 3 - Prime Surface
Apply 2–3 coats of water-based primer over the magnetic paint, allowing 2–4 hours between coats and 12 hours after the final coat.
Step 4 - Apply Topcoat (Optional)
For a specific colour requirement, apply it first. Once dry, apply Whiteboard Paint Clear within 1 hour of mixing.

Will surfaces coated with Transparent Magnetic Dry Erase Paint be yellow when exposed to sunlight?
No, paint is UV-resistant and will not yellow, even in extremely hot climates such as those in the Middle East or Australia.
What types of magnets are compatible with clear magnetic dry erase board paint?
Only neodymium or rare earth magnets are suitable for use with clear magnetic dry erase board paint. You may consider using our Neo Magnets for optimal performance. Please note that ordinary household magnets are not appropriate.

Ensure that the wood surface is smooth, fill any holes with a suitable filler, and then apply one primer coat of Smart white primer, then the Magnetic Paint, followed by the colour of your choice, and then the clear whiteboard paint. Lightly sand the surface after each coat of magnetic paint and primer for best results.
Is it possible to apply Clear Magnetic Whiteboard Paint over the wallpaper?
Yes, Clear Magnetic Whiteboard Paint can be applied to smooth wallpaper. However, it should not be applied to textured wallpaper. If the wallpaper is porous, use Primer in clear or white as preferred before applying the paint.
